In many areas where Water Mission works, women and children spend 2-3 hours walking to collect water every day. In most cases, their walk is one to four miles and the water they collect is not safe for drinking. Through the 2020 virtual Walk for Water, we will walk in honor of our neighbors around the world who walk to collect water every single day.
Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit that designs, builds, and implements safe Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Since 2001, Water Mission has used innovative technology and engineering expertise to provide access to safe water for over four million people in 56 countries.
