If you've landed on this page, you've likely received one of my "drip campaign" emails - pun intended - or you saw my post on facebook. Thanks for dropping in!
Have you ever tried starting your day without that critical jolt of caffeine from a piping hot cup of coffee made in your own kitchen? Imagine waking up every morning and not having water at all. No water to wash with, no water to cook with. Plenty of people in communities throughout the world don't have the luxury of running water in their villages, much less in their own homes. So they have to walk to a source of water like a river or spring that may be contaminated with bacteria, viruses, and other nasty things. I'm participating in the Charleston Walk for Water TOMORROW to help Water Mission change that.
The Walk helps raise awareness of the global water crisis and to raise funds so that Water Mission can change the situation, one community at a time, through installations of their sustainable safe water filtration systems and sanitation solutions. Each dollar raised will help Water Mission bring access to safe water and sanitation solutions to the 2,200,000,000 people who don't have a water supply in their community. Additionally, Water Mission is preparing to actively provide aid for those displaced by the war in Ukraine.
Water Mission is an organization close to my heart. Will and I have made personal grants over the course of the years - even through COVID - and both of us and Kelsie participate in the annual Walk. Can you help me reach my goal of raising $1000? So far, I have raised 64% of my goal and I would greatly appreciate your support for this important work. Seriously, even just $5 or $10 helps.
