Water Missions Walk For Water
Hello Friends,
Every day over 2300 people, mostly children die from disease brought about by drinking contaminated water. In most cases only one source of water exist and it is contaminated by the many that use the one source. Animal and human excrement in water flows down to them by the river with little power or influence to change what happens upstream.
Water Missions International is working to significantly improve this situation. First by installing water filtration systems that are maintainable and manageable by the village, second by providing sanitation facilities and education to improve the present water supply and third by implementing mentorship program teaching villages to sustain these systems, and move into ownership and responsibility for the systems and knowledge they gain
I am asking you to join my team as we partner together to save lives. Filtering and making water safe to drink is the easiest way to save precious lives. There is no contaminant common to rivers and streams that we cannot remove. We have the technology and the will to do this. All we need is your support. Will you join my team?
Just $10 in many cases can provide clean drinking for one person for 20 years or more or for $20 you can join the walk and experience in a couple of hours what most of the world must do every day just for drinking water. Support us or better yet join us for this annual Charleston Walk for Water.
