Where should I park?
Parking lots are available on CSU campus.   Please see the link at the bottom of the home page which shows where the lots are, and which are free or require a small parking fee.  We also encourage taking the MAX, walking or riding your bikes to get to the Walk for Water.

How long does the Walk for Water take?
The Walk is approximately 3 miles, which takes about an hour to complete.

Is this event suitable for children?
Yes. This is an event for all ages. It is engaging, informative and impactful.

Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at this event. Some of the walk is pretty narrow along a busy street, and we don’t want anyone’s four legged friends getting hurt!

What is this event like?
The Walk is symbolic of the walk that many people make every single day to collect unsafe water. After opening ceremonies, every participant will take a bucket (provided at the event) and begin to walk a three mile route. Half way through the route, walkers fill their bucket with dirty water and carry it back to the park where they will run it through a water filtration system. There will also be a variety of family-friendly activities both before and after the Walk.

Do I have to fill my bucket to the top?
You can fill the bucket to your desired level. If you do not feel you can complete the walk with a bucket, you are welcome to walk without one.

What if the weather is rainy or inclement?
To be on the safe side, plan for rain gear if it's raining the morning of the walk. We have an alternate plan for indoors if the weather is highly unpleasant. We will post a notice on this website if the walk is cancelled due dangerous weather or other conditions.

Can I join a team after I’ve already registered?
Yes. Please email jbuhler@watermission.org to be added to a team.

Do I need to join a team to Walk for Water?
