Why should I fundraise?
The Walk for Water is Water Mission's only self-hosted fundraiser. This is an opportunity for you to help raise awareness and support for Water Mission's ongoing efforts around the world. Your friends, family, co-workers, and classmates care about what you care about, and they want a way to do something that's bigger than themselves. So, why not fundraise? We provide you with all the tools you need to be successful in telling our story and fundraising. Register and log into your participant center to get started.

Where should I park?
There is plenty of parking on the old navy base. Type this address (1061 Everglades Ave. North Charleston, SC 29405) into your GPS and follow the directions. Once you're close, the City of North Charleston parking teams and Water Mission volunteers will make sure you get parked. As always, parking is FREE.

Yes. We do. Go here to download and print.

The walk is approximately 3 miles, which takes about an hour to complete.

What is the Walk for Water like?
After opening ceremonies, every participant will take a 2-Gallon bucket (provided at the event) and begin to walk a three-mile route. Halfway through the route, walkers fill their bucket with dirty water and carry it back to the park. The walk is symbolic of the walk that women and children make every single day to collect unsafe water.

Do I have to fill my bucket to the top?
You can fill the bucket to your desired level. If you do not feel you can complete the walk with a bucket, you are welcome to walk without one.
