About the Walk

The Clemson Walk for Water is a student-led organization that strives to bring awareness towards the global water crisis to the members of the Clemson community. The main way we inform our community about this crisis is through an event called the Walk for Water, which simulates the average distance that millions of many women and children have to walk every day to collect water that isn't even safe to drink. The members of this organization plan out funding possibilites for our group, spread awareness of the global water crisis on campus, and plan our community-wide event.

In the past four years of running the walk on Clemson's campus, Clemson Walk for Water has been able to raise over $30,000 for Water Mission to continue to design, build and implement safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas.
