How long does the Walk for Water take?
The Walk is approximately 3 miles, which takes about an hour to complete.

What is this event like?
We kick off at 8 am with fresh coffee and cold water to all walkers signing in and picking up their t-shirts. After the opening ceremonies finish around 9 am, every participant will take a bucket (provided at the event) and begin to walk a three mile route. Halfway through the route, walkers fill their bucket with dirty water and carry it back to the park. The Walk is symbolic of the walk that women and children make every single day to collect unsafe water.

Do I have to bring my own bucket?
No. Buckets will be provided by Water Mission at the event.

Do I have to fill my bucket to the top?
No, you can fill the bucket to your desired level. If you do not feel you can complete the Walk with a bucket, you are welcome to walk without one.
