In 2018, Hach Ames hosted its 2nd Walk for Water, in support of Water Mission, in Ames, Iowa. The event brought together employees, family members and friends who walked in solidarity with the millions of women and children in developing countries who walk an average of 3.2 miles on a daily basis to collect dirty water. Last year's Walk raised almost $3,000 to fund a safe water project in the community of Mkinga in Tanzania.
