In 2016, Pace and Pentair partnered together to host the inaugural Walk for Water-Twin Cities. Both Pace and Pentair had previously been and continue to be long-term strategic partners of Water Mission. After participating in a Strategic Partner event along with the flagship Charleston Walk for Water, Pace and Pentair decided to bring a community walk to the Twin Cities area.

Since then, the Walk has raised more than $850,000 for Water Mission and over 3,700 walkers have participated. The Walk has grown to have both an in-person Twin Cities option and a virtual option supported by walkers in multiple states and countries. In 2021, the Walk had more than 800 participants raising more than $170,000 to support Water Mission’s efforts in Mexico, which focus on serving under-resourced, often unreached rural areas outside of several cities in Chiapas, including San Christóbal, Ocosingo, Chilón, and Palenque.
